Order booking and delivery tracking for a courier operation, on Google Sheets. Shippers book their own parcels, get a tracking ID generated for them, and follow the status — while the admin sees the whole board.

Booking an order

The new order form captures both ends of the journey: shipper name, contact and address; customer name, contact and address; the cash-on-delivery amount and the parcel weight. The tracking ID is generated by the system and the date fills itself, which removes the two fields people most often get wrong or duplicate. The order starts as pending.

Two levels of access

The access column in the login sheet decides it. A user signs in and sees their own orders and nobody else's — today's deliveries, their own bookings, their own details. An admin signs in and sees everything, every user's orders on one board. One sheet, two very different views, with no extra configuration.

The filter that builds itself

Worth noting: the status filter is not a hard-coded list. It reads the distinct values actually present in the status column, so if you start writing "return to warehouse" or "out for delivery" in the sheet, those options appear in the filter by themselves. Your workflow can change without anyone editing the code.

Tracking

Order details are looked up by tracking ID, returning the full record and its current status — the same idea as a courier's tracking page, driven by your own sheet.
