Ecommerce Website with Order Emails – Google Apps Script

An online store built on Google Sheets and Google Apps Script, with the two things most spreadsheet storefronts leave out: real order-quantity rules and automatic email.

Order rules that hold

Each product carries its own minimum and maximum order quantity. The stepper on the product card refuses to go below the minimum or above the maximum, and the price updates as the number changes, so the customer always sees the real total. On top of that sits a stock check — try to order eleven units of something you hold ten of and the app says so rather than accepting an order you cannot fill. Products whose stock reaches zero drop off the storefront entirely.

Email on every order

When an order is confirmed, two messages go out: an order confirmation to the customer with the items and subtotal, and a new-order alert to the shop owner. Nobody has to sit watching the spreadsheet for a new row to appear.

Browsing and the rest

Customers filter by category, search the catalog, save items to a wishlist and push them into the cart when they are ready. A Live View button appears on any product for which you have supplied a video link, and stays hidden on the rest. Orders land in Google Sheets as rows you can sort, filter or export.
