A restaurant till built for the counter: tap the dishes, take the payment, close the sale — and the stock comes down by itself.
Items show as image tiles you tap to add. Remove a single line if the customer changes their mind, or clear the whole order and start again. The subtotal moves as you go, with tax applied at the rate set against each item in the sheet — so a drink and a main course can carry different rates without anything being hard-coded.
Add a tip, enter what the customer handed over, and the change due is worked out for you — which is the calculation most likely to go wrong when a queue is forming. Payment is cash or credit card, and choosing either asks for confirmation before it is applied, so the method recorded against the sale is the one that actually happened.
Close Sale warns you that the sale cannot be modified afterwards. That is deliberate: a till that allows completed sales to be edited is a till that cannot be reconciled at the end of the day. Decide before you close, not after.
Closing a sale reduces the stock for every item on it. Sell three of something with 546 in stock and 543 remain, without anyone adjusting a count. Adding a new dish is a row in the sheet — item number, name, price, tax rate and an image — and it appears on the tile menu on the next refresh.
