A point of sale web app that reads from and writes to Google Sheets. Products come out of the sheet, a sale is rung up on screen, and the sale goes back into the sheet — so the shop's record of the day is the same file the owner already knows how to open.
The app loads the product list from your spreadsheet, so prices are changed in the sheet rather than in the code. Items are added to a sale, totals are calculated on screen, and completing the sale writes the transaction back to Sheets. That two-way link is the whole point: there is no export step to remember at closing time and no second copy of the numbers to reconcile.
Small shops, stalls, cafes and counters that want to stop writing sales in a notebook but are not ready to buy POS software and a terminal. It is also a straightforward example of two-way reading and writing between a web app and Google Sheets.
