Free Bulk Email Sender from Google Sheets – Apps Script

B2 turns a Google Sheet into a small mailing desk. Your contacts sit in the sheet as name and email. Two prepared templates — a welcome message and a feedback request — go out to the whole list from a menu item inside the spreadsheet, one click each, sent through your own Gmail account.

Different lists, different emails

The detail that makes this practical is that each template reads its own range. Welcome pulls from one pair of columns and feedback from another, so the people who just signed up and the people you are chasing for feedback are separate groups, in one sheet, without filtering anything by hand. The ranges are one line each in the code — change A2:B2 to C3:D3 and that template is pointed at a different list.

The email itself

Both templates ship as designed HTML rather than plain text, and the recipient's name is placed into the message so it does not read like a circular. The body is plain HTML and CSS in the code: change the colours, the wording, the layout, drop in a button that links to your feedback form or a challenge page. Whatever you write there is exactly what lands in the inbox.

Sending

Open Extensions, pick the macro for the template you want, and it goes to that template's whole list. Authorise the script once on the first run and it works from then on.

One thing to keep in mind

Mail goes out through your own Gmail account, so there is no paid mailing service in the middle and no contact list living on somebody else's server. The flip side is that Google's own daily sending limits apply to your account, so very large lists need to be spread across days.
