Employee Attendance & Leave Management – Google Apps Script

An employee attendance system that runs on Google Sheets, with a separate portal for the admin and for the staff. Paper registers and shared spreadsheets fail the same way every time: punches get edited after the fact, leave requests live in someone's WhatsApp, and at the end of the month nobody can say what a person actually worked. This system records every punch with its location and IP address, and keeps leave, holidays and salary in the same place.

What it does

An employee opens the web app and clocks in or out. The system stores the timestamp along with the geolocation of the device and the IP address it came from, so a punch made somewhere other than the workplace is visible rather than invisible. The admin gets a live overview with charts, can open attendance history for any date range, and approves or rejects leave requests as they arrive. Holidays and per-employee salary records sit in the same app, so the month-end number comes from the same data as the daily punches.
