Free Blogger Login Page with Custom Redirect – Apps Script

FREE026 puts a login in front of a Blogger site. A visitor arrives, sees a login screen instead of your posts, and only gets through once their username and password match a row in your Google Sheet. It is the answer to the question a lot of Blogger owners eventually ask: how do I make this content members-only without moving off Blogger?

The redirect is the important half

Anyone can build a login page. The part that makes it actually hold is Blogger's custom redirect, and the walkthrough sets it up properly: the home page points at the login page, and you can list your post URLs the same way. That closes the obvious hole — somebody copying a post link and sending it to a friend. The friend opens it and lands on the login screen, not the post.

Accounts you control in a sheet

Usernames and passwords live in a Google Sheet, so adding a member is a new row and removing one is a deleted row. No plugin, no third-party membership service, and nothing about your reader list leaves your own Drive.

Where people land afterwards

A successful login sends the user to a page you nominate, which means different members can be pointed at different pages if your site is organised that way. If you only want the login itself with no onward redirect, the walkthrough explains that variant too.

Fitting it to your blog

The login page is an Apps Script web app dropped into a Blogger page as an iframe, with a width you set, so no template editing is involved. Worth knowing: Blogger's redirects work at the page level, so treat this as a members gate for ordinary visitors rather than hard protection of the underlying content.
