Free Face Recognition Login System – Google Sheets

A login system where the user's face is the credential. Sign up captures a face image through the webcam and stores it against the account; logging back in means looking at the camera rather than remembering a password.

The signup and login flow

On registration the app requests camera access, captures the user's face and files it with their record in Google Sheets. On return, the login screen captures again and verifies against what was stored. The account data — like every other build here — lives in a sheet you own and can read at any time.

Why this is interesting

Passwords are the weak point of most small web apps: they get reused, forgotten, and reset over email. Face capture removes the thing users have to remember, which for internal tools, attendance-style check-ins and kiosk logins is often the whole friction. The interface is modern and responsive, and it runs on Google's free tooling rather than a paid identity service.

Worth knowing before you deploy

This is a webcam-based verification system built for learning and internal use, not a certified biometric product. Camera access needs HTTPS, which the Apps Script web app URL already provides. For anything handling sensitive records, pair it with a second factor and follow your own data-protection obligations for storing face images.
