A cinema booking site where the listings, the halls, the prices and even the discounts all come from your sheet — and the system refuses to sell a seat that does not exist.

Listings you edit in a spreadsheet

Each movie is a row: title, poster image URL, the hall it plays in, the price, the available seats, a short description, and the day, month and year of the showing, which the app joins into a proper date. Add a row and the movie is on the site; change the hall and the site follows. Nobody edits HTML to change what is showing this week.

Discounts per film

A discount percentage sits on the movie row. Put 10 against a title and every booking for it takes ten per cent off, shown to the customer as the full price, the discount and the subtotal. Running a promotion on one film, or a quieter hall, is one cell rather than a code change.

It will not oversell

Ask for ninety seats when eighty-nine remain and the booking is refused with a message telling you exactly how many are left. Overselling a screening is the one mistake a cinema cannot fix at the door, and this closes it at the point of booking rather than in a report afterwards.

Both sides get an email

On a confirmed booking the customer receives their booking with the movie, date, hall, number of tickets, discount and total — and the admin receives a notification of the same sale. Nobody has to watch the sheet to know a booking came in.

The details around it

Movies are searchable, the current date and time and a count of available films sit on the page, the confirmation names the film being booked so nobody pays for the wrong one, and the whole thing works on a phone — which is where tickets are actually bought.
