I Built a GPS Attendance Management System in PHP MySQL

A GPS-based attendance and HR management system built in PHP and MySQL, for teams that do not all sit in one office. Every punch is tied to a geofenced site: the employee takes a selfie, the system records the coordinates, and if they are outside the allowed radius the record is flagged as out of zone with the exact distance in meters. Managers watch the whole day on a live map.

What it does

You define project sites with latitude, longitude and an attendance radius, then assign employees and shifts to them through the roster. Each punch is read against that employee's rostered shift to work out late minutes, half day, full day and overtime hours — and those hours flow straight into overtime approval and payroll. Corrections go through a request-and-approve loop where the approver sees the current times next to the requested ones before deciding. Leave quotas, holidays, advances, pay components, contractor bills and final settlement are handled in the same panel, and an HR Rules page holds every threshold and formula so the calculations stay in one place instead of being scattered through the code.
