I Built a Clinic Management System Using Claude Code, Apps Script & Google Sheets

A clinic management system covering the whole operation — patients, doctors, appointments, prescriptions, billing, an in-house pharmacy with its own point of sale, payroll, staff attendance and accounts — running on Google Sheets and Apps Script with five roles and no paid hosting.

What it does

A patient registers once and carries their record with them: a profile showing every appointment, prescription and invoice, plus a history timeline and payment ledger. Booking an appointment pulls the doctor's room number through automatically, so reception tells the patient where to go without asking. Invoices can be typed by hand or auto-fetched from unbilled visits and prescriptions, print to A4, accept part payments, and email the patient automatically once the balance clears.

The pharmacy is the interesting part

Medicines are stocked with real unit conversion — one box is ten packs, one pack is ten tablets. Sell five tablets and the system shows ninety-five remaining, not "one box". The point of sale lets you pick the unit you are selling in, apply discount and tax, and print the receipt; refunds restock automatically. Stock movements cover purchase, return, restock, damaged, expired and transferred, with batch numbers and expiry dates carried through to a set of reports: current stock, purchases, sales, profit, expiry, low stock and by supplier.
