Free Applicant Tracker CRUD with Photos – Google Apps Script

A candidate tracker where the table tells you what is wrong before you read it. Photos down the left, colour across the columns, and a record that updates the moment you change its status.

Colour that means something

Each column has its own rule rather than decoration applied evenly. Gender shows green when recorded and yellow when nobody filled it in. Email shows green when present and red when it is missing — add the address and the cell turns green as you watch. Address and contact carry no colouring at all, deliberately, because their length varies and colouring them would be noise. The effect is that incomplete records announce themselves instead of hiding in a full table.

Interview status, in more than two states

Real hiring is not just approved or declined. The status set covers approved, declined, pending, hold, interviews not conducted because the candidate had family issues, and those missed because too many people turned up on the day — each with its own colour. Change a status on the row and the table reflects it in real time, with no reload.

Finding one person

Search by record ID to pull up a single candidate and their current status. The name search takes more than one term: typing a name narrows the list, and adding a second word narrows it again within those results — which is how you find one candidate among several who share a first name.

Photos and storage

Each record carries a photograph uploaded into an assets folder in your Drive, located by the script automatically. Deleting a record removes it from the table immediately. The colour rules are set in the code, so you can map your own statuses to your own palette.
