Every other CRUD build in this catalogue asks you to open the script and define your fields in code. This one does not. You describe the fields in a sheet, and the web app builds itself around them.
A Project Schema sheet holds one row per field: its name, its input type, whether it is required, and the order it appears in. Add a row and that field is on the form, in the table, and in the edit dialog — no variables to declare, no values to read, no redeploy. Remove the row and it is gone. For anyone who has previously had to edit Code.gs every time a business wanted one more column, this is the difference between a ten-minute change and a developer request.
An App Settings sheet carries the app name shown in the interface, the language, the currency and which sheet receives the data. Dropdown options live in their own sheet, built with a join formula, so a select field's choices are maintained by whoever owns the data rather than whoever owns the script. One rule to remember: after changing anything in settings, press Save Settings — the app reads the saved configuration, not the raw cells.
The generated app gives you the entry form, a table of records, and edit and delete on each row — with changes appearing in real time rather than after a refresh.
Field names must be distinct. If your schema already uses Name for the project name and you add another field also called Name, the value lands in the wrong place. Give the second one a distinct key — the walkthrough hits this on camera and shows the fix.
