FREE031 is CRUD stripped to its bones: one Apps Script form that creates a record, reads it back, updates it and deletes it, with a single Google Sheet behind it. There is no dashboard, no table view and no login to work around, which is exactly why it is the file to start from when you want to understand how the four operations actually talk to a sheet.

Four operations, one screen

The form carries name, date, designation, phone and email. Type an ID and press Read and that row loads into the fields. Change anything and press Update and the same row is rewritten in place. Press Delete and it is gone. Press Add New with the fields filled and a fresh row is appended. Nothing switches pages, so you watch each operation land.

IDs you do not have to invent

New records get their ID generated for them, counting on from the last one in the sheet, so two people adding records never collide on the same number. That ID is the handle for everything afterwards — read, update and delete all work from it, which keeps the sheet honest even after rows have been removed.

Setting it up

Make a copy of the shared sheet and the script comes with it. Copy the new spreadsheet ID, paste it into the code file, and if you renamed the tab from Sheet1 put your name in the same place. The heading at the top of the page is a line of code too, so the form can carry your own title within a minute of opening it.

Where it fits

Treat it as the starting point rather than a finished product. The field list is short on purpose: add your own columns, drop it behind one of the login files here, or grow it into a list view when the basics make sense.
