Free Google Sheets Lookup by ID – Returns Every Matching Row

FREE029 does one thing precisely: you give it an ID and it hands back every entry stored against that ID. Not the first match, not the latest — all of them, listed one after another.

Why one record is rarely the answer

Most sheet lookups return a single row, which is fine when an ID appears once and wrong the moment it appears three times. A customer with several orders, a student with several entries, a member with several payments — in each case the useful answer is the whole set. This file was built on exactly that request from a viewer: show me everything a single number has in the system.

When the ID is not there

An unknown ID returns a plain no user found message rather than a blank screen. That distinction matters: a typo and an empty record look identical otherwise, and somebody will assume the data is missing when it is the ID that is wrong.

Pointing it at your data

The ID column and the fields shown on the result are set in the code, which is commented section by section — create user interface, provide input, enter ID — so working out where to make a change does not mean reading the whole file. Add a row to the sheet and it is findable immediately.

What it does not do

This is a read-only lookup. There is no editing from the screen; a later part covers that. Treat it as the retrieval building block you pair with one of the CRUD files when records need changing too.
