R27 is the little message bubble that sits in the corner of a website. A visitor clicks it, a form slides up, they type their question and send it. The message lands in your Google Sheet, three emails go out, and they get a tracking ID back — all without a form plugin, a database or a hosting bill.

What happens on submit

The form confirms on screen that it went through, so nobody sends the same message four times wondering if it worked. Behind that, a six digit tracking ID is generated for the enquiry and written to the sheet alongside the message. That ID is the whole point of the design: when the person phones later they read it out, you search the sheet for it, and their original message is in front of you in a second.

Three emails, one submission

One email goes to your admin address, one to your support address, and one to the visitor's own address with a copy of what they sent and their tracking ID. All three addresses are set in one place in the code, so pointing support at a different inbox is a single edit. If you set all three to the same address, you receive three copies, which is exactly what the walkthrough demonstrates.

Fitting it to your sheet

The tracking ID column can sit at the front of the row or at the end depending on how you like to read the sheet, and moving it is a matter of shifting one value in the code. The walkthrough does it both ways so the change is obvious.

Putting it on your site

Copy the sheet, authorise the script and deploy it as a web app. The floating form then embeds into your website or blog page, and everything it collects stays in your own spreadsheet.
