A registration form that writes into Google Sheets and then tells both sides about it β the applicant gets a confirmation, you get an alert. No inbox to watch, no sheet to keep refreshing.
This is what separates it from a form that only saves a row. The person who submitted receives a thank-you email addressed to them, carrying the details they entered, so they have a record and know it went through. Separately, you receive a notification that a new entry has been added to the sheet β with the submission in the email, so you can read it and reply to them directly without opening the spreadsheet at all.
The form handles two types of registrant β in the walkthrough an employee and a hirer β and each type is written to its own sheet. Two audiences signing up through one form, kept apart at the point of storage rather than sorted out afterwards with a filter.
Name, working email, phone number, a password with a confirmation field, gender, and a security question chosen from a dropdown with its answer β the set of fields an account signup actually needs, rather than a bare contact form.
Copy the sheet, put its ID in the one marked place in the script, save and deploy as a web app. You get a URL to put behind a button on your own site.
