Admit cards for an exam, issued from a portal instead of a printer queue. Students look themselves up by roll number or CNIC, print their own A4 slip, and the QR code on it is scanned at the hall door to confirm it is genuine.

Students collect their own

Distributing admit cards by hand is the bottleneck: printing hundreds, sorting them, and dealing with everyone who lost theirs. Here a student enters a roll number or CNIC, their record comes up with their photograph, and they print the slip themselves — as many times as they need, at any hour, without anyone at the office being involved.

The QR code closes the loop

Every slip carries its own QR code, and the portal includes a scanner for verification. At the examination hall, staff scan the code and see whether the slip is real and whose it is. A printed document alone can be photocopied or altered; one that verifies against your own data cannot.

What the admin manages

Student records with full create, read, update and delete, photographs uploaded to Google Drive, and a venue management system so each student's slip shows the right examination centre. Admin login is session-managed, so the portal is public for lookups while administration stays behind a login.

What it runs on

Google Sheets as the database — so the student list is one you can import, edit and export — with Apps Script serving the portal. The layout is responsive, which matters because most students will open it on a phone.
