How to Build a Complete LMS with AI Quizzes, Leaderboard & Study Planner

A learning platform built around one idea: the quiz should come from the student's own notes. Upload a photograph of a handwritten page, Gemini reads it, and the questions that follow are about what that student actually has to learn — not a generic question bank.

Notes in, questions out

A student photographs their notes and the AI extracts the text, which can be played back as audio for revision on the move. Notes are saved to a history, filed into folders by subject, and tagged — difficult, easy, exam preparation — so a term's material stays findable. From any note, the system generates a quiz at the difficulty level chosen, and explains why each answer was right rather than only marking it.

Pre-quiz and post-quiz — the measurement

This is the part worth understanding. The pre-quiz is taken straight after uploading the notes and measures what the student already knows; the post-quiz comes after studying. The gap between the two scores is the actual learning, shown on a progress tracker. A single score tells a student nothing; the difference between two tells them whether the studying worked.

Planning and competing

The study planner takes an exam date and the chapters to cover and turns it into a day-by-day schedule, ticked off as each one is done. Leaderboards run monthly and all-time on average score and quizzes taken. Study groups are joined with an invite code, where members share notes and compare progress — which turns solitary revision into something with company in it.

Running the platform

Admins get a dashboard of users, notes, quizzes and average score, per-user analytics, quiz results per student, announcements that surface in the notification panel, and full user management. Settings hold the Gemini API key, Google login, SMTP, backup and restore, site branding, colour scheme, dark mode and a 97-language interface.
