Auto-Refresh Inline Edit CRUD Table – Google Apps Script

B17 throws out the edit button. There is no pencil icon, no modal that opens over the table and no Save to remember. You click the cell you want to change, type the new value, and the Google Sheet behind it is updated. For a table that mostly needs small corrections, that is the entire workflow.

Editing where you are looking

Every field works this way, including the status column. Move a record from Declined to Paid by clicking it and typing, not by opening a form and hunting for the right dropdown. It sounds like a small change until you are thirty records into a reconciliation and have saved thirty modal round-trips.

The table watches the sheet

A timer re-reads the spreadsheet every three seconds, so the app and the sheet do not drift apart. Edit a row directly in Google Sheets and it appears in the app moments later; delete a row there and it disappears from the table on its own. Anyone working in the sheet and anyone working in the app see the same thing without coordinating. The interval is one line of code if three seconds is more often than your data deserves.

Adding records

Add New Data opens a short form for the ID, name, father's name, phone and address, with a status of pending, paid, unpaid or declined. Once saved, it joins the table and becomes editable in place like everything else.

Getting the data out

Copy puts the table on the clipboard for pasting elsewhere, CSV downloads it as a spreadsheet file, and Print produces a clean page. The layout is Bootstrap, so restyling it is ordinary CSS work rather than unpicking a custom design.
