Free Customer Order Tracking Page – Google Apps Script

FREE042 is the page you send a customer to instead of answering "where is my order?" one message at a time. They type their order ID, press Track Order, and everything you have recorded about that order comes back on one screen — delivery status, payment state, address and all.

What the customer sees

The result carries the order number, the customer name and phone, the product name and product code, the payment method used, the billing and shipping address, whether the order has been delivered or is still pending, and whether payment has been received. That is usually the entire content of a support conversation, delivered without one. They can print the page or save it as a PDF.

A wrong ID says so

Type an ID that is not in the sheet and the portal says the ID is wrong and to check it, rather than returning an empty page that looks like a system fault. Small thing, but it is the difference between a customer retyping their number and a customer messaging you anyway.

The sheet stays yours

The columns in the demo — order number, customer, phone, product, code, payment method, address, delivery status, payment received — are a starting point, not a fixed schema. Add a courier name, a dispatch date, a tracking reference, whatever your business actually records.

Setting it up, and the one error to expect

Copy the sheet, open Apps Script from Extensions, paste in the code and the index file, then deploy as a web app. One step catches almost everyone: the sheet name written in the code must match your actual tab name. If it does not, tracking an ID throws a script error instead of finding the row — the walkthrough triggers that error on purpose and fixes it, so you will recognise it immediately.
