Free Check-In Dashboard with Location – Google Apps Script

FREE035 is the completed version of the user dashboard build. Where the earlier part delivered the login and the activity record, this one finishes the job: a working dashboard with check-in and check-out, session timing, location at both ends, and registration handled through a Google Form. The spreadsheet comes ready-made too, rather than something you assemble yourself.

Check in, check out, and what gets recorded

A user signs in and checks in on their dashboard. When they check out, the sheet has the full picture of that session: who they were, what time they checked in, what time they left, how long they were on it, the location they checked in from and the location they left from. For field staff, remote shifts or anything where presence has to be evidenced rather than claimed, that is the whole record in one row.

Access is still one cell

Every account carries a yes or no. Set it to no and that person cannot log in; set it back and they can, with the account untouched in between. The dashboard also shows the live login state and the time of the last refresh, so you can see who is on it right now.

Registration through a Google Form

Rather than building a signup screen, new users register through a Google Form whose responses feed the sheet. The walkthrough builds that form, sets the response options so an entry cannot be duplicated or freely re-edited, and embeds it in the registration page. It is less code to maintain and a familiar experience for the person filling it in.

Inside the dashboard

The build ships with settings, news and message pages alongside the main view, and users change their own username and password from settings instead of asking you.
