The simplest result portal that still does the job. A student types their roll number, presses Get Result, and their marks appear — subject by subject, with the percentage — ready to print. On a phone as readily as a desktop.
Adding a student is typing a line in the sheet: serial number, PIN or roll number, name, and the marks for each test. Nothing else. There is no admin panel to learn, no import format to match, and no developer needed at the point when results are actually being entered — which is always the busiest week of the term.
The maximum mark for each test lives in the HTML, one value per test, and changing it changes what the result sheet displays against. A test out of forty becomes a test out of a hundred by editing one number and saving. Same for the sheet name, which is set in one place.
Deploy it and you get a URL to send to parents and students, or embed with an iframe into your existing school site, Blogger or WordPress page. The layout is mobile-friendly because that is where nearly every parent will open it.
This build is a lookup by roll number with no password. If results must be private to each student, the result portal with per-student passwords covers that; for admit cards with QR verification or a year-long report card with grades and ranks, look at those builds instead.
