Free Login & Registration Form with Redirect – Apps Script

A login and register form with one detail that makes it genuinely useful: you decide where a successful login sends the user. That turns it from a demo into a gate you can put in front of something you already have.

The redirect is the point

Most login tutorials end with a green "login successful" message and nothing behind it. Here you set the URL the user lands on once their credentials check out — your dashboard, your existing web app, a members page, a Google Site. Correct details take them through; wrong details are refused with a message and no redirect, so the destination stays closed.

Accounts live in your sheet

Registration captures name, password, email and phone, and each account is a row. You can read the list, correct a typo in someone's email, or delete an account by deleting the row — no admin screen to build first. The sheet is the user table, which for a small membership or a staff-only page is genuinely all you need.

Built in front of you

The walkthrough starts from an empty Google Sheet rather than a finished file: name the sheet, add the four columns, paste the two files, replace the Sheet ID and sheet name, deploy and authorise. If you have never wired Apps Script to a sheet before, this is the build where it clicks — which is why it is worth watching even if you end up using a bigger login project.

Worth knowing

Passwords sit in the sheet as entered, so keep the spreadsheet private and never link-share it. For OTP verification, password reset, account approval or expiry, take one of the larger login builds instead.
